While working with the team at Manifestive Design, I helped create a custom website for author Kay Taylor Burnett that showcases her growing collection of books and personal brand. Through earthy colors, western-inspired imagery, and handcrafted design details, the site captures the adventurous spirit of her stories while creating an inviting experience for readers.
An Overview
With titles available across multiple retailers, the challenge was creating a streamlined experience that organized her work in a clear, engaging way while encouraging readers to learn more about her stories.
The project began with wireframing and content planning in Adobe Illustrator to establish the site's structure and user journey. Once approved, the design was brought to life in Squarespace through a fully custom one-page website featuring responsive layouts, custom graphics, and carefully crafted calls-to-action. Adobe Photoshop was used to prepare and optimize imagery throughout the site. The final result is a polished digital experience that showcases Kay's books, reflects her unique voice as an author, and provides readers with an easy path to purchase and explore her work.
